Tables, slow cookers and a full room

This is where you will find members of the Racine community getting together to volunteer, cook and raise funds for people who need them. Fill a plate, find a seat, and stay as long as you like.

Out in the neighbourhood

Holidays, parades and street events

Through the year we sponsor and support events around the north side, and open the bar and kitchen to the public for the big ones. On those days we put on a short menu from the board by the kitchen window - brats, burgers, hotdogs, chips, popcorn, coffee and a bakery table.

They are some of our best days, and they are always looking for extra hands.

How a dinner works

What to expect if you have never been

Do I have to be a member?

Everyone is welcome. These dinners raise money for good causes and they work best with a full room, so bring whoever you like.

Why does it ask for an RSVP?

Our members buy the food and cook it themselves, so knowing roughly how many to expect helps us shop accurately, keep costs down and avoid waste. The RSVP date is usually a few days before, and a quick phone call is all it takes.

Does the ticket price cover the whole dinner?

Yes - the ticket covers the meal as described, including sides and dessert where the flyer lists one. Drinks are from the bar separately.

Where can I see the rest of the year?

Every date through to June 2027 is on the club calendar, each with the member running it and the cause it supports. Dinners appear on this page with full details once we have set the menu, the price and the serving time.

Book a seat at the next one

Most of these dinners want an RSVP a few days ahead so the kitchen knows what to buy. A phone call does it.
