A real stage
Raised, with steps and a handrail at one end, a black backdrop curtain, and an overhead truss carrying dozens of theatre lamps. It is set up for a band, not improvised for one.
Two halls at Main and Hamilton
The event hall
Two halls, both available to rent. Upstairs is the large one: a raised stage under a full theatrical lighting rig, a wooden dance floor, banquet tables and chairs, and its own bar. Downstairs is smaller, with its own bar and the kitchen alongside. We host live bands, wedding receptions, benefits, birthdays, anniversaries and meetings.

A wooden dance floor
Laid in front of the stage, with the terrazzo floor of the hall around it. Big enough that a full band and a full dance floor can happen at the same time.
Tables and chairs
Long banquet tables and stacking folding chairs, stored in the room and set to whatever plan you want - rows facing the stage, or scattered around the floor.
PA and monitors
House speakers and monitor wedges live on the stage. Talk to us about what your band or DJ is bringing and what they can use.
A bar beside the hall
There is a bar on each floor, right alongside its hall, so your guests are never walking off somewhere else for a drink. Bar arrangements for a private event are agreed when you book.
A kitchen downstairs
The kitchen sits beside the lower hall and is the one that turns out our Friday fish fry and Sunday breakfast. It serves events in either hall, so tell us what you have in mind and we will talk through what it can do.
The bar
A bar on the same floor as your guests
Each hall has a bar right beside it, so a drink is a few steps away rather than a trip downstairs. Both are full bars with taps and spirits, staffed by our own people, and all our drink prices include sales tax.
Tell us what you have in mind when you enquire - an open bar, a cash bar, or drinks for a set part of the evening - and we will work it out with you.
The floor
Room to actually dance
The dance floor sits directly under the lighting rig, so a band gets a stage and the crowd gets a lit floor without anyone moving furniture mid-evening. Behind it the hall runs back far enough to seat a dinner and still leave the floor clear.

The stage is raised about knee height with steps and a handrail at the near end. For a wedding or a benefit it works just as well as a head table or a spot for whoever has to say a few words, and the backdrop curtain closes the whole thing off when it is not wanted.

What dates are free?
Our own dinners, conferences and closures are all on the club calendar for 2026 and 2027. Have a look for the date you have in mind, then get in touch and we will confirm it.
Can I bring my own caterer, or my own band?
Ask when you enquire. We have our own kitchen downstairs and our own PA on the stage, so there is often a simpler and cheaper answer than bringing everything in.
What is the access like?
The building dates from an era with different standards, and the two halls are on different levels. Tell us about your guests when you enquire and we will walk you through exactly what getting into each hall involves, so you can plan with the real picture in front of you.
Do I need to be a member to rent a hall?
Renting is open to everybody, and the income goes straight back into the club and its building fund.
