Fraternal Order of Eagles · Racine, Wisconsin

People Helping People, in Racine since our charter

Aerie #281 is a charitable organisation, and the cooking is how we do the work. Every fish fry, every Sunday breakfast, every dinner and every hall booking raises money for local causes and for the funds our order supports worldwide. Come and eat, and you are part of it.

  • Fish fry every Friday, 4pm to 8pm
  • Breakfast every Sunday, 8am to 11am
  • Two halls available to rent

A Saturday dinner for a fund

Our kitchen and halls run on a volunteer roster, so a holiday can move things.

Meals, special events and hall rental

Meals

Fish fry every Friday from 4pm, and breakfast every Sunday from 8am. Both are open to everybody, both are cooked by our members, and both are some of the best value in the city.

Special events

One Saturday a month we cook a full dinner for a named cause. A different dish every time, cooked and served by our own members, and the funds raised go straight to that cause.

Hall rental

A large upstairs hall with a stage, full theatrical lighting, a dance floor and a bar, plus a smaller hall downstairs with its own bar and kitchen. We host live bands, wedding receptions, benefits, birthdays and meetings.

The cooking is the fundraising

An Eagles dinner is the fundraiser itself. The cause is named on the flyer before the menu is, our members do the cooking, and what comes in goes straight back out again. That is why our calendar reads like a menu and a list of causes at the same time.

Aerie #281 is one chapter of a worldwide order with nearly 800,000 members, and between us the Eagles have done some remarkable things:

Two halls, one location

Downstairs is the smaller hall, with its own bar and the kitchen that cooks our fish fry and Sunday breakfast. Upstairs is a much larger hall with a bar of its own, a raised stage under full theatrical lighting, and a wooden dance floor. Between them they take everything from a Tuesday meeting to a wedding reception, and both are available to rent.

  • Upstairs: a large hall, a bar, a stage with a full lighting rig and a dance floor
  • Downstairs: a smaller hall with its own bar and the kitchen
  • Banquet tables and chairs for both, and renting either supports the club

Planning something that needs a room

Tell us the date and roughly how many people. Someone from the club will come back to you about the hall, the bar and what the kitchen can do. And if you came here wondering how to join instead, the Aerie and the Auxiliary are both looking for members.
